After more than six years training within the Tennis Life programme, Felix Littlejohn has officially secured a college tennis scholarship to St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York, a huge milestone in what has been a journey built on resilience, growth, and passion for the sport.

Throughout his time at Tennis Life, Felix has developed across all areas of his game, crediting the coaching environment and long-term support around him for helping shape his progress.

“Being a part of Tennis Life for over six years has developed my game technically, mentally, physically and tactically. The coaches I have worked with over the years have helped isolate and work on different parts of my game to improve how I play in all areas.”

Felix says securing the scholarship is a reflection of years of hard work and commitment finally paying off.

“It definitely means a lot to secure the scholarship. It shows that all my hard work and passion for tennis over the years has paid off, and now I have the opportunity to go and play overseas in a great tennis environment.”

Like many athletes, the journey hasn’t been without challenges. Time spent away from the court through injury became one of the defining moments in strengthening his perspective and appreciation for competition.

“Spending time away with injury has definitely made me not take competition for granted. Being away from the sport and watching all your friends compete really makes you miss it and want to get back to playing.”

Felix also reflected on how recent performances and his love for competition helped motivate him toward the next step in his career.

“Having some very good results over recent months showed me I could compete at a high level and really gave me motivation and excitement to get to college and play.”

Looking ahead, Felix is most excited about the people and experiences that come with college tennis.

“What I’m most looking forward to is the new relationships I am going to make and the new community I will find myself in. Having amazing people by your side while competing is very special.”

For younger players hoping to follow a similar pathway, Felix’s advice is simple:

“Do all you can to enjoy it. If you want to make something out of the sport, you need a strong passion for it. It’s also crucial to keep improving off court as much as on court — mentally and physically.”

Everyone at Tennis Life congratulates Felix on this incredible achievement and looks forward to following his journey in New York.
