1. Casual Court Hire

1.1 Booking Process

By booking a court, you agree to these Terms & Conditions set by Tennis Life and Tennis Auckland Inc.
All bookings are subject to Tennis Auckland's Code of Conduct.

  • Court hire rates are published at www.tennislife.nz and may change at any time.

  • Bookings are confirmed once full payment is received and a confirmation email is sent.

  • All bookings and adjustments must be made via the Tennis Life Customer Portal or Tennis Life App.

  • Bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance for a maximum of 2 hours.

  • Cancellations or booking amendments require at least 12 hours’ notice.

Wet Weather:

  • If it rains before your booking, contact staff to confirm court conditions. If courts are declared unsafe, the rain-out process applies.

  • If it rains during play:

    • Notify staff immediately.

    • If less than half the booking was completed, the rain-out process applies.

    • If more than half was completed, no credit applies.

  • Failure to follow this process means no credit applies.

1.2 Court Credit Only (No Refunds)
  • Refunds are not provided under any circumstances.

  • Cancellations made online with at least 12 hours' notice will receive a credit voucher to rebook a future time.

  • Cancellations within 12 hours are not permitted online or via customer service, and no credit will be provided.

  • For approved wet weather cancellations, contact bookings@tennislife.nz, and a credit voucher will be issued.

  • Centre credit is valid for 180 days, is non-refundable, and must be used within that period.

  • No credit applies for no-shows.

1.3 Court Booking Usage
  • Online court bookings are strictly for casual tennis play with friends or family.

  • Organised activities such as competitions, coaching, tournaments, events, parties, or photoshoots are not permitted through online bookings.

  • To book organised activities, contact bookings@tennislife.nz for availability, costs, and eligibility.

  • We reserve the right to refuse access to anyone who does not comply with these guidelines.

1.4 Code of Conduct

  • No alcohol is permitted anywhere on-site.

  • No glass or food is allowed on the courts.

  • Report any damage immediately; repair costs may be charged to the responsible party.

  • Poor behaviour may result in removal from the venue.

  • Use only the time you have booked; finishing a point is allowed, but games or sets must not run over time.

  • Please leave courts tidy and use the bins provided.

2. Coaching Programme Terms & Conditions

Tennis Life Limited (referred to in these terms and conditions as Tennis Life, we, us or our) runs a range of tennis coaching programmes (“Programme”). By enrolling in a Programme, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Additional terms may be published on our website and will form part of these terms and conditions.

2.1 Privacy Policy
  • We collect personal information to administer Programmes, communicate with participants, meet legal obligations, and promote our services.

  • Information may be shared with third parties or sponsors as required to deliver services.

  • Tennis Life complies with the Privacy Act 1993 and 2020. You can access or correct your information by emailing hello@tennislife.nz.

  • By enrolling, you give us permission to use your image, name, and voice in promotional materials in perpetuity, without compensation.

2.2 Programme Payment Policy
  • Customers will be invoiced prior to the start of each term, and full payment must be made before the term commences in order to confirm participation.

  • If a customer enrols mid-term, they will be required to pay the pro-rata amount upfront, based on the number of remaining classes in that term.

  • Unless a payment arrangement has been made directly with Tennis Life, participation will not be permitted until payment has been received.

2.3 Changes, Transfers and Cancellations
  • You may cancel or amend your enrolment at least 7 days before the Programme start date.

  • Changes within 7 days are only permitted as a transfer to another suitable participant.

  • You will be automatically re-enrolled in the next term unless you notify us in writing before the current term ends.

2.4 Missed Sessions Policy

Tennis Life understands that from time-to-time players may miss sessions. The following policies apply depending on the reason for the absence:

2.4.1 Missed Sessions – Personal Reasons
  • If a player is unable to attend a scheduled class for personal reasons (e.g. travel, other commitments), they must notify the absence via the Tennis Life Portal or App at least 8 hours before the class start time.

  • This will enable the player to book a make-up class, subject to availability and not guaranteed, in another class of a similar level within the same term.

  • Players are entitled to a maximum of two make-up classes per term, per class registered.

  • If an absence is not notified at least 8 hours in advance, the player forfeits the class, and no make-up credit or refund will be issued.

2.4.2 Missed Sessions – Injury or Illness
  • If a player is unable to attend classes due to injury or illness and will miss more than 50% of the term, they may be eligible for a 50% credit for the missed sessions.

  • A valid doctor’s certificate must be provided to Tennis Life in order to qualify for this credit.

  • The credit will be applied to the customer’s Tennis Life account and can be used towards a future Programme.

2.4.3 Class Cancellations – Wet Weather or Unsafe Conditions
  • Outdoor classes may be cancelled due to wet weather or unsafe court conditions.

  • In the event of cancellation, Tennis Life will offer one of the following:

    • A make-up session, subject to availability; or

    • A credit to the customer’s account for the value of the missed class if a make-up session is not possible.

2.5 Contact Information
2.6 Amendments
  • These terms may be updated at any time. New terms will apply only to future enrolments.

2.7 Behaviour Policy
  • Participants must show respect to others and follow staff instructions.

  • Unsafe or disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from the Programme.

2.8 Trial Class Policy
  • Trial sessions may be offered at our discretion.

  • A trial does not guarantee an ongoing space unless enrolment and payment are completed.

2.9 Discount Policy
  • Multi-Class Discount:
Students enrolled in more than one group class (excluding private lessons) will receive 15% off the second class.

  • Family Discount:
Families enrolled in the same term receive:

    • 5% off the total invoice for 3 family members

    • 10% off the total invoice for 4 or more family members

  • Discounts must be applied at enrolment and cannot be backdated. They cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated.

2.10 Liability and Injury Waiver
  • Participation in sport involves risk. Tennis Life is not liable for injury or loss unless caused by proven negligence.

  • You are responsible for notifying us of any medical conditions.

  • In an emergency, we may seek medical attention on your behalf.
