Hot Shots Tennis
Orange Stage
Developing Skills & Tactical Awareness
The Orange Stage bridges the gap between beginner tennis and the full game. Players use a larger court and a faster orange ball, helping them develop greater consistency, movement and decision making.
This is where tennis starts to become more tactical. Players learn how to construct points, move their opponents and understand both singles and doubles play. Tennis New Zealand's coaching resources for Orange Stage focus heavily on rally consistency, directional control, court positioning and tactical awareness.
